Tonmoyee. Where memory becomes ornament.

About Us

Tonmoyee is the vision of its founder, a designer who lives between Dhaka and New York — two cities separated by eight thousand miles and joined, in her work, by a single thread.
She was raised among the textiles of Bengal: jamdani whose motifs are held in no pattern book, only in the weaver's memory; Rajshahi silk the color of ateafternoon light; karchupi embroidery that turns fabric into constellation. As a child she watched these crafts treated s relics of the past. As a designer, she refuses that verdict. In her ateliers, aster artisans — many of them second- and third-generation craftspeople — work heritage techniques into silhouettes made for the woman who boards a flight in one hemisphere and steps into a celebration in another.
In 2025, Tonmoyee became the first angladeshi label to show at Milan ashion Week — a door opened not just for one house, but for a country whose hands have dressed the world for centuries, mostly without a name on the label. Tonmoyee exists to put the name back.
At the heart of the house is the Red Capsule — a collection the founder reated in tribute to her late father, and the origin of the deep crimson that signs every Tonmoyee collection since. It is a reminder of what the brand holds true: that what we inherit is not fabric, but love made visible.
